Erzsébet Barát

Erzsébet Barát is an Associate Professor at the Institute of English and American Studies, University of Szeged and Recurring Visiting Associate Professor at the Gender Studies Department, University of CEU since 2000. She holds a PhD in Linguistics, from Lancaster University, UK. She is founding editor-in-chief of TNTeF, the e-journal on gender studies in Hungary. Her research interests include feminist critical theory, queer studies, discoursal articulation of identity, the relationship between language, power and ideology, and lavender linguistics. She is a regular contributor to edited volumes and journals in English and Hungarian.
