Theodore Gracyk (PhD), born 1958, lives and teaches in Minnesota. His primary research interests are philosophy of art and, in particular, the aesthetics of music. He is the author of five books in those areas, co-author of another, and (with Andrew Kania) co-edited The Routledge Companion to Philosophy and Music (2011). He was co-winner of the 2002 Woody Guthrie Award (the 2002 IASPM/US Book Award). He is currently co-editor of The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism.
